Nothing Launches CMF Phone 2 Pro in India

CMF by Nothing has launched another midrange budget smartphone in India CMF Phone 2 Pro after the CMF Phone 1. Do note that as of now there is no news about the regular CMF Phone 2 till date. 

Body, design & Colors:

CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with full plastic poly carbonate body build with its unique removal back cover for swapping with different styles & attaching different accessories as per user requirement.

CMF bundles various accessories to attach at the back like - 

  • Universal cover: Magnetic cover to attach various accessories.
  • Wallet & stand: CMF launched duo of small wallet to keep the credit cards and it can also act as stand to keep your phone so you can watch movies, videos, etc while its on stand.
  • Lanyard: Keep your CMF Phone 2 Pro secure and easily accessible. The lanyard prevents drops, while the detachable loop lets you add charms, decorations, or straps.
  • Interchangeable lenses - Capture expansive landscapes and creative selfies with the fisheye lens, or reveal intricate details in extreme close-ups with the macro lens. 
In terms of colors CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with 4 diifferent colors namely - Light Green, Black, Orange & White.

RAM & Storage:

CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with base variant of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, there is also higher end variant that comes with same 8GB of RAM but storage will be 256GB. In terms of types the RAM is LPDDR4X and storage type is UFS 2.2 for both base as well as higher end variant.

Display:

CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with 6.77 Inch Flexible AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution. The panel itself is 10 bit as well as HDR 10+ so its great for watching movies & videos. It also supports upto 120Hz refresh rate and 1000Hz touch sampling rate. In terms of brightness it can go upto 1300 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM) when you keep it on auto mode & it can go upto 3000 nits in peak brightness that when using HDR. For protection CMF is providing Panda Glass for display. There is fingerprint sensor also under the display for authentication.

Battery & Charging:

CMF Phone 2 Pro come with 5000 mAh battery which should last you for full working day even on medium to heavy usage. It supports upto 33W of fast charging. CMF is providing fast charger within the box so that user will not have to buy it separately. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging to charge other accessories.

Camera:

CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with triple camera setup at the back & single camera on the front for selfies.

Rear camera setup as follows - 

  • Primary: 50MP with f/1.8 aperture with EIS for video stabilization
  • Secondary: 50MP Telescope camera with 2X optical zoom and 20X digital zoom option.
  • Third: 8MP Ultrawide lens for wide angle shots and videos

Front camera is 16MP sensor with f/2.45 aperture for selfies and videos. 

It also has something known as Truelens Engine 3.0 for picture and video tuning and optimization for better images and videos.

For video recording it can record upto 4K @ 30 fps 

Speakers & Connectivity:

While CMF Phone 2 Pro is having just a single speaker at the bottom, so no stereo speakers setup like Nothing higher end phones get. But they have provided Ultra Volume mode so you will not face issues regarding volume at least.

As far as connectivity it comes with 5G, Wifi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3. Do note that there is no NFC support on this device.

Software:

CMF Phone 2 Pro comes with out of the box Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.2. CMF is promising 3 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates for this device. This is good considering the phone is priced under 20K. It comes with separate key at the left side to access AI and other features

CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at Rs - 18,999 for the base base variant that comes with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and the higher end variant is for Rs - 20,999 for 8GB RAM + 256GB storage
