Motorola Edge 60 Pro Launched in India at Rs 30,000

 Motorola has launched Moto Edge 60 Pro in India successor to the Moto Edge 50 Pro. There are many changes which includes new colors, better processor with better cameras. We will cover all the important details in this blog.

Body, Design and Colors:

This year Moto Edge 60 Pro comes with 3 different colors similar to last years Moto Edge 50 Pro. However all 3 colors are very different compared to its predecessor. This new 3 colors are as follows: Pantone Dazzling Blue, Pantone Shadow, Pantone Sparkling Grape. The body is made up of poly carbonate material but it does comes with leather/nylon inspired texture on the back, which gives it premium feel and very different looks compared to other smartphones. The weight of the body is just 186 grams, despite having 6000mAh battery.

Ram & storage:

Edge 60 Pro comes with 2 different variants in terms of RAM that is 8GB RAM and 12GB of RAM but both of them comes with same storage that is 256GB regardless of the RAM size you buy. As far as type is concerned good to see that the storage us UFS 4.0 and the ram also LPDDR5X type.


Display:

Moto Edge 60 Pro comes with 6.7 Inch POLED display with Quad Curves. Resolution of the display is Super HD+ (2712 X 1220) 1.5K @ 446 PPI. The display comes with HDR 10+ support with 10 Bit color panel. Display covers 100% DCI-P3 as far as color accuracy is concerned. Display supports upto 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of brightness this display can reach upto 1400 nits in high brightness mode (HBM) and 4500 Nits in Peak brightness. Display also comes with some addition certificate like Pantone Validated Colors and Pantone Skintone Validation. For the protection Motorola has provided Corning Gorilla Glass 7i with anti-fingerprint coating and Aqua Touch.


Battery & Charging:

Moto Edge 60 Pro comes with big 6000 mAh battery to last longer compared to last year's 4500 mAh in Moto Edge 50 Pro. For charging it comes with support upto 90W Turbo Power fast charging and the charges is provided in the box. It also supports 15W Wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging to charge other devices that supports wireless charging like smartwatch, TWS and others accessories. 


Camera:

Moto Edge 60 Pro comes with triple camera at the back and single camera at the front. Back camera setup is as follow - 50 MP main Sony LYTIA 700C Sensor with f/1.8 aperture this also has OIS for video stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle with f/2.0 aperture this also works as Macro camera, last 10MP Telephoto camera for portraits and 3X Optical Zoom & 50x Digital Super Zoom this also has OIS. Front camera is a 50MP with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video recording.

In terms of video recording the rear cameras can record videos upto 4K@30 FPS from all 3 sensors as well as from front camera.


Speakers & connectivity:

Moto Edge 60 Pro has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for tuning the audio. USB C port for charging and data transfer. As far as connectivity it supports multiple bands of 5G, Bluetooth version 5.4, Wifi 6E and it also comes with NFC which can be useful for payments. Sadly there is 3.5 MM headphone jack.

Software:

Moto Edge 60 Pro comes with Android 15 out of the box with various Ai features, such as wallpaper generator, Catch Me Up (smart summaries of notifications), Remember this (memory recall) and many more options to explore. Also you have additional AI features from Google apps like Google Photos, Gemini.  It also comes with dedicated key to access AI features quickly. Motorola is promising 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of Android security updates.

Pricing:

Moto’s Edge 60 Pro starts in India at Rs 29,999 for base variant that comes with 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. And there is another variant that comes with 12GB of RAM but storage is same that is 256GB that is priced at 33,999. This device is available for sell on Flipkart as well as Motorola India website.
